Ford has officially unveiled the 100% vegan 2021 Mustang Mach-E SUV.
Ford states the the newest Mustang model – which is electric – will be available to purchase both online and through nationwide dealerships beginning in late 2020 (likely around November).
“We wanted it to be an animal-free product,” says Brittany Moss, a color and materials designer at Ford, told CNET, saying that this was the right decision for the sort of customer they’re trying to attract, including those who are environmentally conscious.
Ford, of course, isn’t the first manufacturer to join the growing vegan movement: Audi recently announced that it will begin manufacturing its e-tron GT next year which will be vegan, and Volva will soon release the vegan Polestar 2.
