QDOBA to Launch Vegan Impossible Ground Beef Nationwide by May 28

The fast food chain QDOBA, which features food such as tacos, burritos and burrito bowls, announced that by the end of May all of their locations in the U.S. will carry vegan ground beef made from the Impossible Burger.

According to a QDOBA press release, the company is expanding the availability of its seasoned Impossible Meat to all of its 730 U.S. locations. They will all begin carrying the vegan beef by May 28. In addition to customers having the ability to replace beef or chicken in any menu item with the Impossible meat, there will also be two designated menu items – the Impossible Burrito Bowl (pictured here) and the Impossible Taco.

“During our test [in Michigan], we quickly learned that consumers loved our unique take on Impossible, making it an easy decision to launch nationally,” says Jill Adams, vice president of marketing for QDOBA. “Our Impossible offering appeals to both meat lovers and vegans, while also delivering on the big, bold flavors that we’re known for at QDOBA.”

According to Adams, select locations in Los Angeles, Brooklyn and Denver will be the first to receive the Impossible meat on April 23, with other areas to follow leading up to the nationwide release on May 28.

“We’re thrilled to grow our partnership with QDOBA and further advance our mission of transforming the global food system to support the planet—as well as our growing population,” says David Lee, chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Impossible Foods.

This annuncement comes just weeks after Del Taco announced that they will soon be carrying vegan ground beef made from Beyond Burger.
