Stevie Wonder Reveals He’s Vegan, Encourages Others to Become Vegan

stevie-wonderMusician Stevie Wonder has revealed – in an interview with AOL – has revealed that he’s been vegan for two years; he became vegan for environmental reasons, as well as health reasons.

β€œI’ve been a vegan for two years, so that’s helped my already good-looking self”, the good-humored Wonder said. He notes that he encourages others to become vegan as well; “We have to be about making our planet more greener, the urban areas more sustainable for the children… We can’t just talk about it, we have to be about it. I’m motivating people to do something about how we are living on this planet.”

Wonder has recorded more than 30 U.S. top ten hits. He’s also received 25 Grammy Awards, the most ever awarded to a male solo artist.

Good for him! I am partly gluten free vegan 90 % and I am Deaf-Blimd (usher syndrome) .. Still trying more vegan food for my tight budget.

No, no, no .. You do not become vegan for environmental or health reasons. You may adopt a purely plant based diet for those reasons .. good for you .. but vegans are vegan because they choose not to participate in the use and killing of animals. Vegans adopt a plant based diet because they refuse to use animals.

Good on him!! May he influence many ~ I’m sure he has great personal chefs! Very important to make sure your vegan diet is fantastic, or you will lack important nutrients. Many vegans eat too much sugar & soya. Remember most soya & also corn are GMO & are contributing to unhealthy farming practices. Important to know what & why we eat foods as well as how & where they are grown πŸ’œβ€οΈπŸ’š

Mike, you do not get to decide why people become vegan.
Just be happy that there is one more vegan in the world and stop being a jerk about it.

Mike you are 100% right but even being a Vegan for healthy reasons helps the animal cause, because after some months these Vegans are finally getting consciousness of what is going on behind closed doors in the slaughterhouses.
I’m Vegan for ethical reasons since 2008, before I was Vegetarian since 2003. When I read in internet how farmers treated calves and make chicks and egg chickens I turned Vegan. It’s hard to find Vegan food here in Italy, I learned to cook Vegan.
