Acclaimed vegan fast food brand Slutty Vegan will soon be opening a new location, their first in Washington D.C.
Slutty Vegan, known for their indulgent vegan fast food items and their unique branding, will soon open their first location outside of Georgia, Alabama and New York.
“When one door closes, CLOSE on a property”, said Slutty Vegan’s founder Pinky Cole in an Instagram post. “Just purchased a property in DC between 12th and H street for the next @sluttyveganatl“. She concludes by stating “2023, I’m not going nowhere”.
Currently Slutty Vegan has seven locations open on the east coast, including two in Atlanta, and one in Jonesboro, Duluth and Athens, all in Georgia. They also have a location in Birmingham, Alabama, and Brooklyn, New York, with plans to soon open new locations in Harlem, New York and Columbus, Georgia.
As noted by the company’s website, founder Pinky Cole started making moves from her two-bedroom apartment in July of 2018, selling Slutty Vegan’s signature burgers fresh to order via Instagram. “In a few weeks’ time, she was filling orders around the city of Atlanta and serving burgers from a mobile food truck.”
By October 2018, the first Slutty Vegan restaurant location opened. Three months later, a crowd of 1,200 gathered outside the restaurant in 45-degree weather for the grand opening. Fast forward to a little over four years later and Slutty Vegan is on the verge of having 10 locations open in four states.
Slutty Vegan’s menu includes a variety of burgers including the One Night Stand featuring vegan bacon, cheese, caramelized onions, veggies and their signature slut Sauce on a vegan Hawaiian bun, and the Ménage à Trois with vegan bacon, cheese and shrimp on top of a plant-based burger patty. The menu also includes chicken sandwiches, bratwursts, Philly cheese steaks and more.
